PLENTY OF TEACHERS
IN SOUTH CANTERBURY.

TIMAR/U, Last Night. Tfhe; shortage of teachers which a few years ago was m<uch felt in this district, appears to have been remedied). The Education Board to-day received 77 applications for ten appointments, the number in each case ranging from 4 to 15. There were 'fourteen for the position of secondary assistant at the District Hi>b School.
