OUTBREAK IN BLENHEIM. TWO BUILDINGS ■ DESTROYED. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) BLENHEIM. Last Night. A fire occurred in- the business centre of Blenheim at mid-day to-diay. Perry's ata/tdonery and toy shpp, and Salisbury's (working jeweller) ,es>taiblisihineiLt being destroyed. Saimsbury was working in- the foresnoan, and left for lunett. Shortly after, smoke was noticed? at the back otf his paieauises'. The brigade prevented the spread otf tlhe fire. Sainisbury's workroom was completely gutted, notching being saved. Perry's stock wa.s mostly damaged by water. Owing to the holiday, no insurances are available.
AN INVERCARGILL BLAZE.

A fire occurred) at five o'clock this morning im a galvanised irofn warehouse belonging to Broad, Small and Qo., at the rear of their Dee Street prerniiisesi. A large quantity of general hardware was' destroyed. The damage is estimated a.t between £3OOO and £4OOO. _ Tlie insurances amoimt to £2-500 in the Royal, National and Yorkshire offices.
WHOLESALE STORE DESTROYED. (By Telegraph —Press Association. J TTMARU, I-ist Night. The wholesale store of John. Esmond: hi'urdc.vai'e - mrorr-inaait, with the contends, w<i& wholly destroyed by fire botwreoi 5 and 6 o'clock this eveming. The store is situated on* the Hayes Street- reclamation, fiaid fortunately at the leeward end of valuable stares and a timber mill. The fire Burned fiercely, and the firemen had ail unpleasant duty in keeping r?ar the biiilclina, so great was the heat from it. The local manager is absent in Duncd™, and values' and insurances are not available.
