MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ORDINARY MEETING

The ordinary monthly meeting of tlhe Mastertcin Borough Council wa« held last night, there being pr scut: His Worship the Mayor (Mr J. M. Coradine), and Ors. J. Prentice, W. PragneLl, W. Candy, F. W. Temple, J. Elliott, A. Donald, .and H. J. Q'Leary Mr J. Macaava wrote requesting tlhe Council to radise the road to tha proper level in Bannister and Dixon Streets abutting the new building just erected by him. —A suggestion, of the Engineer to make temporary repairs was ■adopted. . * The"Coronation Hall sub-cominiitve reported having held a meeting oiMonday, December 18th, for the ptirpose of formulating a scheme foj' tho leasing of the Coronation Hall," and after discusing the matter it was..resolved: "That the Hall be let to the Caledonian Society for the sum of £5 on New Year's Day, and that pullic tciudeii-s be invited for the lease of tin l Hall from January 2nd to March 31--t, 1912, tenders to close at noon on Thursday, 28th inst."—The report was adopted by the Council on tho motion of Or. Prentice. On the motion of the Mayor it \w.s decided not to meet on 'January 2nd. Tlio committee, business \\-dll be dealt with previous to tho next ordinary meeting on January 16th.
