AUCKLAND, .SaturdayThe Auckland' 1 ailoresses' 1 is taking action, in reference to what is rcgardied l as a lock-out in a factory employing about tliriirty tail'oresses. Twenty-five objected to four fellow-employees, and dem/anded their dismissal. This being refused, twenty-five ceased work after giving due notice. After applying for work el'SewUi-ere tihey iwere (unable for a considerable time to obtain emplloyment, and it is alleged' that in view of work ibeing plentiful this must be regarded as a loek-oait. Twelve of the twenty-five eventually returned to work with tWeriir former employer, with the four girls objected to. The others obtained 1 wnrk elsewhere, but as they were out of work a. fortnight, tiho union considers' it necessary to con*ider the mattei with a view to possible action.
