Lord Laanington, on. behalf of the Persia Committee, appeals to Britain to main the integrity and independ,ence of Persia, and not "allow her to fall into the plight of Bokhara and Khiva. He recalls the engagements of ISSB and the convention of 1907, when Britain's #acquiescence in. Russia's actions raised a. serious situation. The national honour and interests are both involved, as the loss of Persian independence would produce a painful effect on the Mussulmans of India.
