A special general meeting of the /Mastertfon Amateur Athletic. Club <w}is held in Murray's Hall last Weru drig, when* there wdsS&iargß attend-1 ance of members. Final arrangements were made, in connection with the; comedy "Jane," which iff in aid of thei Oiub's fUnas''^y" the Bocal Dramatic »Society next Thiursdfay night. • Sl§veral lady supporters of the Club jprdhiised donations' of sweets, i will be disposed of during the ' intervals of tlie enitertaiaiment. The Committee of tdie dlub met subsequently, when several .new •mennbers were elected, and general business' transacted: ■ Further promises of trophies for forthcoming evening, meetings were receivedi. Satisfaction was expressed at the manner in which the members' «u'bisoriiptiions were coining fm, the secretary reporting that at present there were very few unfinancial memberson the books.
