WELLINGTON, Last Night. In the course of conversation with a reporter, a prominent ' Liberal iM.P. attributed the Government's iset-iback to Sir Joseph Ward's los* lof prestige. The position was a icKffioulfc one. There were only two bourses open to the Premier— to resign, or call Parliament together. (The whole position, turned on the Independent and labour members, tvnd he thought that some of these would never, after the ' statements ! »they had made, support a Government led by Sir Joseph Ward.
