CARTERTON. The half-yearly masting of Totara Lodge, U.A.0.D., was held on Monday night, Bro. R. Canton, A.D., presiding. After general business' had been transacted, the election of officers resulted:— A.D., Bro. H. Hart j V.A.D., Bro. P. Reid; secretary, Bro. E. McKenzie; treasurer, Bro. W. H. Bailiie; 1.G., Bro. C. Oorlett; 0.G., Biro. F. Roydhouee; A.D.B.'s, Bros. Hannah and A. McHhee; V.A.B.'s, Bros. Walton and Aplin; iLUsdcdan, Bro. V. Fairbrother; auditor, Bro. J. Moncrierf. Ecio. Hudson performed the installing ceremony. La'o. F. RoydhoU6© was. presented with a Pa»t Arch's diploma. Mr 0. Whyte, one of our local letter carrier*, returned home yesterday (Tuesday) from the South Wuiraiaipa Hospital 1 , where he four weeks ago underwent an operation for a growth on the leg.
