LONDON WOOL SALES.
CLOSED STRONG,
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., L+d., have received the following cablegram from their London House under date 9th inst., regarding the close of the 6t.\ series of London wool sales: —During the series 119,000 bales of wool were sold, of which 54,000 were taken for the Continent and 4000 for America, 10,000 being held over. The sales closed strong. As compared with last sale's closing rates prices are higher by about 5 per cent to 7} per cent for fine scoured crossbred, scoured merino medium and fine greasy crossbred. We quote average' current London value of the under-men-tioned descriptions of New Zealand greasy wool:-—Good merino, 13d; medium merino, lid; inferior merdne, 9cl;fine crossbred, T2£d; medium, crossbred, 10£ d; coarse, 40's, 9£d; 36's, 9d.
