Mastertoiii secured an easy win over Carterton on Saturday by 108 runs. Oartenton's first innings closed for 108 rims, Smart being top-scorer with a. nicely-made 3-1, and Tunnicliffe also hatted'well for 31. Masterton carried their second inning's score to 81 for four wickets, when they declared. A. Congdon compiled half the score by .some nice play, his straight driving being the main feature. Requiring 203 runs to win, Carterton commenced their apparently hopeless task, and their last wicket fell for 96. The above match was concluded on the Park Oval on Saturday, and resulted in a win for St. Matthew's by three wickets.
