A RESERVOIR BURSTS
(By Telegraph—l'ress Association.J CHMSTOHUROff, Last Nijiftt; One Jiailf of the reservoir at Clifton, Sumner, 'burst on Friday afternoon, and about 50,000 gallons of water was lost. The force of <the water hurled pieces of concrete for 100 and 200 yards. The bursting of the reservoir is attributable to faulty workmanship, ■and, according to the Mayor of Sumner, it will be necessary to have the whole of the reservoir rebuilt.
