J: hiown, chafcrmau of the British Empire Oilfield* Co., Ltd., who arrived hero from London last week, intimated to-day that he was so satisfied with the potentialitfoe of the New Zealand oilfields in, the neighbourhood of New Plymouth that he had cabled for Mr J. D. Heasry, A\ho hspected the above field* early this to leave Engfamd immediately. He nad received a reply to the effect that Mr Hemry would arme here on January 16th, Mir Bircfln stated that he cabled to the- Company' 6 adviscry engineer to endeavour to make the, neeessa/ry arrangements to proceed to New Zealand early in the New Year.
