MR HERBERT AT EKETAHUNA.
AN EXCELLENT RECEPTION.
Mr A. H. Herbert addressed alhout 500 electors' at Elkeitahuna last evening. The Mayor (Mr Plage) occupied the chlair'. The candidate received aw exsellent hearing, there being no inter captions or interjactdonis.
Mr Herbert criticised Mr Hogg'® speech df tihe previous evening, arid upheld the Reform Plaa-ty's platform.
Mr peddling moved, and Mr T. T. Youlel seconded: "That in the opinion! of this meeting the time has arnived whom there dhouKL be a change in the Admatni-stra-tioini, and that this
meeting considers Mir Herbert a fit and proper pea-son to represent the electors in Parliament."
The motion' -was carried amid cheers, ■there being only about dissentient voices.
