Reports from a.ll parts, of t'he Doimimibar indicate that the pcftticail 'battle to he fought to-morrow will be the most strenuous in the history of constitutional government in this country. On the one hand there is a desperate fight for tlie retention of place, .power and patronage, and on tine other an emphatic demiaaid fba* a cleaner, purer and more economic Administration. The seats, of several Ministers' of tlie Orowm are iav jeopardy, and it wou/Id not be at all the Prime Minister, himself defeated. Immense interest is (being manifested in. the election, and, -whatever .till© result may be, the poll is likely to be one of the heaviest recorded in the history of the Dominion.
