It is deplorable to think that, at this stage of the political campaign, an effort sihould be made to damage the Leader of. tfoe Opposition by raking np the Massey-Haylor incident. With tine straightforward, manly and honourable speech made by Mr Massey in the House of Representatives,' that incident, so far as the public was concerned., should hlave been closed for ever. If Mir Isitt or Mr Fowlds think that they will influence pnblio opinion by referring to an iii>cident whicii was closed l in. a clean and honourable manner, they are grievously mistaken).
