ANNUAL CHRISTMAS FETE.

. The annual Christmas Fete of the Master ton Congregational Church was held in tha Y.M.C.A. gymnasium hail yesterday afternoon and evening. Hodge, and Mrs and Miss Tooby; prodtice and strawcream, Mr«'a<nd Miss Red- . man: refreshments, Mesdames Hodge, Joy. and Smith; flower stall, Mrs and tihe Misses Greeny ice-cream, Mr W. Wilkes; bran'tub, Masters N. Heudry and R. Hodge. The first.part of the evening was devoted to a concert programme, which was very much appreciated. The items were as follow :—Overture, Miss G. Tooby; musical monologue, Mr E. R. Wilsoa; quartette, Misses Tooby and Hodge, and Messrs dough and Sleeman; pianoforte duet, the Misses Frost._ A number of competitions were also held during the evening, for which useful trophies were given. The members and adherents bad worked assiduously and mamy generous donations were received. The efforts of the 'helpers were amply rewarded by the pronounced success of the Fete. , It is expected that the function will result in a net*.profit of over £2o'.
