LONDON, November 30. The attempt of the Right Hon. H. Et. Asquith to speak in. the City Temple on the 21st, the anniversary of the Mansfield House settlement at Canrung Town, led to extra/) rdi nanscenes. Hysterical females shouted : "Votes for women!" and flung an India-rub-ber ball, wrapped in paper, at Mr Asquith. Another chained herself to. the central pillar and yelled war cries luYtil she was.gagged. ■,;>. sis fa^-as possible. '.■ •'•• MivAsquith secured a hearirig/aftfrrr ten minutes, when they'had quitted the hall.
