INSURANCE BILL
MEETING OF SERVANTS
A RESOLUTION CARRIED.
(Received Last Night, 11.20 o'clock.)
LONDON, November 30._ Of twelve 'thousand mistresses and servants who assembled at the Albert «Hall at tho invitation of the Countess Desart, to discuss tho Insurance Bill, ten thousand failed to gain admission. Countess Desart presided, and the Countesses Brassey, Mayo, and Portsmouth, and Mrs Humphrey Ward were also present. The meeting was lively, and tho chorus of "Rule Britannia," was sung while Mr Lloyd George was hissed. The speakers included Mesdamos Hilkure and Belloc, who denounced tlio BilTv
. There were some dissentients, bin it wn-s resolved by an overwhelming majority that if the domestic service clauses are passed the country be organised to resist them. Some of the executive, who were convening the meeting, withdrew at tho last momnt, owing to Mr LloydGeorge's amendments, giving a choice of benefits.
