THE ELHhNNI ATROCITIES
ENGLISH CORRESPONDENTS' REPORTS.
(Received Last Night, 11.20 o'clock.)
LONDON, November 30. English correspondents at Tripoli give details of a visit to Elheaini, the scene of the Arab atrocities on the 23rd October. They state that twenty-eight Italians were found horribly mutilated, one wearing a Red Cross badge. Others were crucified and impaled on stakes. In one case the eyeball was stitched through with coarse palm string. Seven Borsaglieri were, discovered buried with their heads above the ground, —and a hand cut off, with an agonised expression, justifying the presumption, that they were buried alive. There were, many other atrocious cases.
