HARRY RICKARDS VAUDEVILLE COMPANY.
; TGie Vaudeville combination .will open a two nights' season at Masterton to-morrow evening, under tlio auspices of the firm of Harrv Rickards. The company, taken all round, is one of tho best and' brightest ever seen here. Novelty is its keynote and variety its watchword. Most of thecompany.con-" sists of imported talent, and are,, therefore, new to Dominion audiences, and the majority of the acts to be submitted are of a. 'high standard of merit. When such a wealth of' material is available from Avhich to select it is not easy to place one's finger on any act in particular. As a matter of fact, many of the turns could be bracketed as equal, in merit, the only difference being in tho nature of the elements that go to make up their intrinsic excellence. On this principle then; Alcide Captaine may be singled out for premier mention. This lady is a model of perfect physical symmetry a.nt\goes through a graceful and draing trapeze act. Her every movement is grace personified and is done without amy effort although the strain rt times must ibe enormous. Binns and Binns are a couple of clever comedians, who introduce some surprisingly clever effects into an act that is stamped with the indelible hallmark of originality. Sydney Bach is a Welsh humorist, who submits a brilliant and decidedly amusing musical monologue. Alt'. Holt has quaint and natural style of I his own and places himself en rapport with his audience immediately he steps on. to the stage. Clarke and Mostol a.ro patter comedians as well as lightning dancers, and their work in. this respect comes as a revelation in the terpsichorean art.
