PALMERSTON STOCK SALE

PALMERSTON N., Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: —At our Palmerston N. sale to-day we had a small entry of sheep and a good yarding, of cattle, which sold at late rates. We qu<ste: Sheep: Shorn ewes and lambs, all counted/ £6 lOd; empty ewes, 10s; prime wethers, 20s. Forward bullocks, £6 lis; store bullocks, £5 8s 6d to £6 2s; yearling steers, £3 to £3 7s 6d; 2-year steers, £3 15s; fat cows, £4 19s, £5, £6 2d; empty yearling Holstein heifers, £4 12s 6d; 2Holstein heifers, £5; yearling heifers, £3 7s 6d to £3 10s; springing cows: £5 5s to £5 17s 6d; bulls, £3 6s to £3 3s.
