CARTERTON. Mr G. Sievors, of Taratahi, has purcihasod 105 aores of land from Mr T. 'BayJiiss, and l as it adjoirns the ifar.in of Mr Sieve rs, makes the acreage 450 mores. At present 85 cows arc /milked on the farm by the aid of Laurence- Kennedy- Giffies Milking Machi ties, wlhich are driven by water power. 'Mir A. Abbott, wihto was recently ftramsf erred to Kaponga, Taratahi, as "buyer for Messrs W. Dimock and Op. of Wellington, {has been transferred ■back to tlie Wairarapa. Hhe I'arkviale Minstrel and Gaiety Company give an. entertainment tiiere tiliis evening. Miss iM'ilJoi', of Gtroytown, is at present cadet in g in the local telephone ox.c,hang<>. >
