FAKING AND TRIMMING
IS IT STILL PRACTISED? "Flock-owner" writes as follows to Wie Wairarapa Age:—"Some months ago thc.ro was a lively controversy in your •columns over the subject ot the faking of sheep for show purjposes. Mr Hugh Williams did good -Jwrork by bringing the subject into prominence. I have not noticed that Hah© P. and A. A&sooiations have fchown a desire to improve the present deceptive methods. I have been tto shows during the last month or fcwo, and have been astonished to find how cleverly many of the sheep have been faked. I presume that Ifche same thing will go on from year tto year, until the public refuses to patronise a man who is a known •'faker.' As the ram fairs wM soon Ibe with us, I should strongly adjvise 'intending purchasers to 'try before they buy.' "
