DEATH BY POISONING
SUPPOSED SUICIDE.

WELLnsGiTON, Last Night
An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Alfred Thorn/as Daniiel, tempiorary clerk in. thie Educationi Department, 33 yearns of age, wiho was found dead in bed at his lodging house by his brother on Sunday. The medical evidence showed that death/ was due to poisoning by sfcrydmiine. It appeared from other evidence that deceased had been suffering initernaiMy for some time, and bought ten grains of strychnine on Saturday firtom a chemist in' ordeir to Mil a cat. Deceased's brother- asked Mow it was poasohdie for acustomer to get such, a large quanaty at one time. The chemist replied that it ■was not a large quantity flor a cat, as thiey wieaie pretty hard 'to., kill. The Ctoronelr., Dtr McArithu.r, gave a verdict in. accordance with the medical evidence.
