BENEFIT CONCERT
A PRONOUNCED SUCOCESS
A most successful concert was held in tlie Town Hall 'last night for the purpose of raising funds to assist a distressed member of the Masterton Fire Brigade. The Municipal Band led a torch-light procession to the hall, and this attracted a large number of people, who recognised the worthy object of the function. There was an audience of about three hundred. The programme, which was thoroughly appreciated, and was supervised by Mr F. J. Hunn, consisted of items by £ho following v-Selections (2), Masterton Municipal Band; Scotch dance, the Misses Pauling; song, Mr R. J. Young; songs (2), Miss H. R. Hodge; songe (2) Mr H. F. Green,; song, Mr W. Iggulden ; songs (2), Mrs Edwards; song, Mr Ghignell; song, Mr A. W. Maxted; song, Miss Graham; song, Mr O. Wilson; recitation, Mr E. R. Wilson; song, Mr J. Elder. The accompaniments were plaved by Miss Winnie Jones, A.T.C.L.
