AMATEUR ATHLETICS
EVENING RUN
The first evening run of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held on the Park Oval 011 Thursday evening, the events being 100 yds and 440 yds flat. Mr J. Bradbury was handicapper, and Mr J. Nicholson starter. The races resulted :
100 Yards: —R. McKenzie, syds, 1; L. Boyd, Byds, 2; A. Douglas, 7yds, 3. The other' competitors wer& W: Lands lOvds; A, Johansen 11yds, and D. Appleby 11yds. Time, lOsecs. - 440 Yards.—W. Rippon, 30yds, 1; A. Douglas,' 34yds, 2 ; R. McKenzie, 12yds, 3. Also ran—A. Johansen, 42yds, and D. Appleby, 42yds. Time, 53xcs:- ■ - -
