A SPLENDID FLIGHT

CODY OVATIONS.

(Received This Morning, 12.5' o'clock)

LONDON, October 30,

Mr S. F. Cody, in a monoplane of his own invention, flew two hundred and fifty miles at Alder shot for the Michelin Track Cup and a prize of £SOO, at an average height of 1200 feet, and a rate of fifty-one miles per hour. The last hour was a continuous struggle with a gusty wind to maintain his balance. On alighting he was carried shoulder high to the garage.
