There Uias been a marked increase in' the consumption of liquor and tobacco in Canada. Per capita the consumption of spirits last yeaV was .815 of a gallon, and thi3 increased this year to .859 of a gallon per head. The.total quantity of tobacco consumed was 18,000,0001b5, against 17,800,00011bs last year.
