In the House of Representatives yesterday, Mr Davey moved that the Oammdttee on the Taupo Totara Timber; Company's .petition should.; be allowed-to"* sit this> morning if : tbe House is then sitting. :■;'-.- •Mr Massey urged that the question was far too importamt to be dealt with this session. It should be allowed to stand over until next session when it would receive full consideration from the new Parliament. Mr Davey <said the oomimittee met that morning to deliberate on the subject, but, as the House was sitting, it was impossible to get the report fully considered. The motion was agreed to.
