PROPOSED AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL
ENDORSED BY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
At the meeting-of the Mftsterton Chamber of Commerce yesterday, Mr C. E. Daniel! stated that the Chamber wa« instituted for the general good of the community, and he thought that matters of public interest should ibe .forward. He instanced the question of an agricultural school for the Wadrarapa. 1 his matter was to be discussed at a conference next day, and, sis it affected the commercial as well
as the agricultural community, he thought it sihould ibe discussed and supported. Mr ORobson stated that, Anticipating a discussion on the .subject, he had come prepared with a resolution. He mov«i"That this- Chaaftber views with approval the movement •to establish a school ofagriculture on the lines of the adopted by the Wellington Education Board', believing thatsuch an institution is. demanded iby ithe requirements of eduoation generally, and by the development of this Dominion particularly, and recommends the people of this district to give those who are seeking to initiate the scheme their sympathy and 00-croeration." iMx-Summerell seconded the resolution, which carried unanimously. ■'•V" i Mr Vile, on of the Eduoai tion Board, thanked' fjje Chamber for its resolution, and stated that personally he appreciated it very-much.
