Under the will of the Dowager Countess of Seafield the estates follow the title or are left in trust for the present Earl, who is entitled to reside in one or both the houses. His income will be increased, and when he dies the estates' will go to his successor. The will provides numerous legacies for public institutions,' estate officials, relatives, and servants. CAMBRIAN COLLIERS. DISMISSED MAN'S GRIEVANCES. OUGHT TO BE INVESTIGATED. (Received Last Night, 9.50 o'clock.) LONDON, October 18. The Cambrian colliers have resolved that an investigation of the dismissed man's grievances by the Workmen's Committee ought to preoede a strike. Deputations interviewed the management and withdrew the demand for the reinstatement of the man. Work-is being resumed to-day. • THE TAVIUNI DISASTER. Mi' Glenon, chief engineer of the steamer Taviuni, has committed suicide at his lodgings. • The cause of the deed is not apparent. The Merchant Service Guild has petitioned the Lieutenant-Governor to grant a re-hearing of the NeraTaviuni case, on behalf of Captain Brighton. . WORK IN SYDNEY. SAID TO BE PLENTIFUL. The demand for plasterers and bricklayers is above the supply. MARCONI COMPANY. INCREASING ITS CAPITAL. (Received Last Night, 9.50 o'clock.) LONDON, October 18. The Marconi Company is increasing its capital by the creation of £250,000 worth of ordinary shares. Hie Company is receiving the control of the Russian Wireless Company of St. Petersburg. NEW ZEALING SHIPPING COM r PANY. (Received Last Night, 9.50 o'clock.) LONDON, October 18. The New Zealand; Shipping Cornhas declared a dididend of ten shillings, and a bonus of 2s 6d.
