Mr Daniell asked would the Trust, ,bjy taking sii-oh action, be Mocking the efforts of the Mayor and Councillors to remedy the mistake? The question was whether the brjdge in its present condition was better than would be the case if it were widened. He thought that as the biridge was, the property would suffer more damage. (Mr Pragnell pointed out that the Borough Engineer had reported; that the ,gffiade could be improved by taking awfay one span at'the town end of the biridge. The motion was seconded by Mr Pauling and carried.
