MAORI MISSION
ANNUAL FAIR The annual fair in aid of the Maori Mission in the Wellington district was -held in St. Matthew's schoolroom, ' Masterton., yesterday afternoon and evening. The function was a decided success, a fact, which. reflects credit on a number of the Sunday School ' children, who were responsible for the working up of the fair. All the stalls were well stocked and a large number of. sympathisers attended, and good business was reported. Mr. Raymond Lee, secretary and treasurer, is also deserving of the highest praise for his efforts to ensure a successful function. The stalls and their, attendants were as follows—Plain- work, Miss La, Roche; sweets, Misses Thomas and 'Brown; produce, Mrs Dickenson and a number of energetic boys; Christmas tree, Misses Jones and Winzenberg; telegrams, Miss Mavis Miller; exhibition of Maori curios, Mrs Tai Te Tau and Miss Hampton; refreshments, Mrs Hyde. The receipts amounted to close on £3O.
