PRICE OF LAND.
The Government is constantly declaring that - cannot procure land for settlement, because the prices asked are too .high. Has it ever dawned upon the brilliant intellects of Cabinet Ministers that the price of land, as of all other commodities, is regul.ited to no inconsiderable extent by t ! io law of .supply and demand? Has it occurred to them th«fc if they took reasonable steps to appease the firth hunger by opening up the viste lands of ,the Dominion they \ '.,1 );:'.:.!£ prices down to normal?
Bow can they expect to get cheap land when they, themselves, bull the market?
