A highly-paid expert has been imported, and since hip. arrival the enthusiasm on the Riibject seems to have waned. The Government has evidently been told that population is required before industries will flourish, and that industries are essential to tho. profitable utilisation of water p£«-er., All the hopes of the Hutt, and "Makuri, and W«ikaremoana, have thus evaporated.
