WAIRARAPA AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held in Gray's Buildings last night. Mr Jas. Pryor occupied the chair, and there was'an attendance of 'nine other members. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted, the latter showing a credit balance of £27 13s lid. The following officers were elected: —Patron, His Worship <the Mayor (Mr J. M. Coradine); President, Dr. N. H. Pryor; Vice-President®, Messrs ■A. Henderson, D Caselber;;, F. Dupre, W. B. Chennells, J. Pryor, A. P. Whatman, J. B. Moodie, and the Rev. Dean McKenna; General Committee, Messrs W. Dickson, P. Gilbert, R. Messenger, H. Langdon, G. L. Thomas, R. McKenzio. J. Coradine, junr., and M. Iggulden ; Secretary, Mr J. W. Nicholson treasurer, Mr J. Bradbury; auditor, Mr A. Keith ; delegate to the Centre, Mr W. L. Dunn. The annual subscription was fixed at os, the same as last year. The Committee was authorised •: to fix a date for the annual gathering. It was decided to make application to the Borough Council for the use of a room in the old teia kiosk in the Park. Five new . members were elected to the Club. The retiring secretary (Mr John Coradine) was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, and on the motion of Mr Bradbury, seconded T>y Mr R. Messenger,' he was granted an honorarium of £5 ss. Mr Coradine generously offered to refund the amount to the Club as a trophy. Mr,Pryor was also thanked for his services. Reference was made to the support ertended to 'the Club by the local Press. Mr Pryor moved that the Wairarnpa Caledonian Society be thanked for placing an increased number of amateur events on their programme. The motion ; was carried unanimously- .
