JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on tflieir Johnsonville sale as follows • —A heavy yarding of prime bullocks and extra quality sheep c&me forward. Cattle sold readily, but sheep me<t with rather a dragging sale, though we disposed of nearly every pen before the sale finished. Extra heavy bullocks, £ll 15s to £l2 2s 6d; prime (heavy bullocks, £ll to £ll 10s; lighter, £lO 15s to £lO 17s 6d; vealers, 245, 31s to 355; store cows, 30s to £3; prime heavy wetlherg, 23s 3d to 22s 4d; good .wethers, 21s to 225; extra prime heavy ewes, 23s to 23s 4d; prime heavy ewes, 21s 9d to 225; prime ewes, 20s 9d to 21s 2d; prime ewes, 189 6d; prime lambs, 13s 9s to I4s; extra prime, 15s 9d; lighter 13s to 13s 6d.
MASTERTON WOOL AND SKIN SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows—We held our usual wool, skin, and hide sale yesterday. There was a good attendance.of buyers, and although London reports shew a slight drop in prices the 'bidding was keen for all sorts. We quote ."Wool: Crossbred, 7£d; crutchings, medium, 4d to 4|d; pieces, 3d to 4d. Sheepskins: Crossbred,, fine, 6d to 6£d j crossbred, medium, s|d to 6d; crossbred, inferior sd. to s|d; dead, 4sd to sd; hoggets, 5d to 6jd; damp crossbred, 4s 3d to 6s 2d. Hides: Ox, medium, 6d to 6£d; cow, s£d to 6d; damaged hides, 4d to s£d; calfskins, sound, BJd to Bsd; calfskins, faulty, 4|d to 7d; calfskins, slippy, 2d to 4d.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report : —We held our monthly sale of wool, skins and hides yesterday, when we offered 10 bales and a quantity~of bags of wool, 3000 sheepskins, 350 hides and calfskins, and a. quantity of horsehair, rabbitskins, and tallow. There was the usual attendance of buyers, iand ibidding was brisk at prices that compared very favourably with last sale rates. Prices realised were as follows: —Wool: Crossbred, 6Jd to 7£d; dead, s£d to 7d; crutchings, 4sd to sjd; locks, 23d. Sheepskins: Fine crossbred, 63d; medium crossbred, s|d to 6£d'; 'hoggets, 53d to 6Jd ; Uambs, 4|d; dead, 43d to s£d ; half wools, 5Jd; quarter wools, 4Jd; shorts, 4d; pelts, 2d; damp crossbred, 5s 3d .to 6s Id'; damp, dead, Is lOd to 4s 2d. Hides: Sound cow and ox, 5Jd to 6d; eailf, best, 8d to B|d; calf,' inferior, 43d to 7d. Tallow : Casks, £25 per ton; tins, £l7 10s to £2O 15s por ton ; horsehair, Is 7d to Is 7£d per lb. Rabbitskins, B£d to Hi per lb. Our next sale will be held on November 15th.
The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association., Ltd., report as follows:—Wa held our monthly sale of wool, sheepskins and 'hides, yesterday, when we offered 10 bales wool, 2000 sheepskins, 350 hides and oatlfskdns, and a quantity of horsehair and rabbitskins. There was a very good attendance of buyers, and all lots offered sold at satisfactory prices. Crutchings were hardly up to last sale rates, but the quality coming to hand now is poorer. We quote:— Wool: Seedy fleece, s^d; crutchings, 5d to s£d; crutchings, seedy, 4d to 4sd; dead wool, 6£d; locks and pieces, 3d. Sheepskins: Crossbred, fine. 6Jd; crossbred, 6d to 6£d; crossbred, dead, 43d to s£d; 'half wools, s£d; quarter wools, 3Jd; hoggets, 4Jd to sd; double deckers, 4£d; crossbred, damp, 3s 8d each; crossbred, green, 5s 5d each.; hoggets, damp, Is 8d; dead, damp, 3s 8d each. WOODVILLE STOCK SALE,
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —We offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattJe. Sheep sold well, all lines changing hands at auction. Cattle sold at late rates. Quotations. —Good hoggets, 12s 5d to 13s lid; small hoggets, 8s 4d; cull ewes, 5s 3d; good dairy cows, £6 os to £8 2s 6d; empty heifers, £3 3s to £3 7s 6d; yearlings, £2 9s to £3 6s-; 3-year steers, £5; bulls, £2 17s 6d to £6 6s.

•Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report ns follows:—We offered a fair yarding of botfli sheep and cattle. All the- sheep were sold at good values, and tho bulk of the cattle, good dairy cows celling exceptionally well. We quote: Eives and lambs 19s; fat sheep, 18s 3d; s.mall hoggets, 8s 6d; empty owes, 5s 3d to 10s 6d; dairy cows, £6 7s Gd, £7 10s 'to £8 15s; springing heifers,'£s 7s Gd to £5 12s Gd; fat cows, £4 17s 6d to £5; empty cows, £1 to £3 4s; 4-year bullocks, £G lGs.
MASTERTON STOCK SALE
Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercanlile Agency Co., Ltd., reoprt as follows regarding their weekly sale in the Sol way yards yesterday: —We submitted a good catalogue of sheep, I which embraced all classes. The quality throughout was mostly good, and we are pleased to report a total clearance, at rates much in advance of recent sales. The entries in cattle were mostly dairy stock and young steers, all of which found a ready market at improved rates. In . wethers the prices ranged according'to quality, for very forward sorts 18s, fair conditioned stores 17s, 16s, 14s 9d. In lioggets, best mixed made lis Gd to 13s sd; ewe hoggets, to 14s; smaller sorts, os 9d to 10s. Only one pen of fat ewes offered, making 18s ; mixed store ewes and wethers, 14s 8d; good dry owes, 12s 6d to 14s Id; ewes and lambs, fair,' 15s lid. In cattle, springing cows made £5 17s 6d to £6 7s 6d. A 1 special pen of 15 months dairy heifers | on account of Mr A. Ross made the satisfactory figure of £4 5s 8d per head; other dairy heifers, £2 13s to £2 15s; calves, 30s to 39s 6d; ■ good mixed yearlings, £2 13s 6d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in the Solway yards yesterday, when they offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattlle, which met with a very read sale, well up to vendors ideas. Our principal entry was on account of Mr Jas. Cooper, of Oarrington, Carterton, who has lately. sold 'his farm. His entry comprised steers, Hanging from 15 months to 4 year old, and his slieep entry was of hoggets >and wethers. . We quote as ■follows:—Woolly ewe hoggets, to 15s 6d; woolly wether hoggets, to 14s 9d; ewes and wethers, mixed, 13s 6d to 16s; fat wethers, 19s; woolly hoggets, medium, 10s 7d to lis 7d; shorn hoggets, 8s to 9s; poorer sorts, to 6s 4d; ewes and tombs, to 12s 4d. Cattle: 4-year old steers, to £6 16s;. 3-year steers, to £5 Is; 2-year steers, to £4 12s; 15-months steers, £3 to £3 4s; 20-months steers, £3 18s to £4 Is; springing cows, £8 to £9 10s; springing heifers, £6 10s to £7 10s; cows m milk, to £5 7s 6d.
