ORDINARY MEETING.
IQua ordinary meeting of the North "Waiirarapa Benevolent Society was held yesterday. There were present —Melsars J. B. Keith (chairman), ✓J. O. Ewdngton, H. O'Leary, J. Miller, W. Morris, and M. J. H. Jackson. An apology for absence was from JVJrs Cairns. • Two now. applioatiane for • relief were granted, and in another instance irelief was discontinued. i A letter was received from a prenicus reorient cf charitable add, thlankdng the Committee for assistance rendered in the past. It was> reported that there were seven inmates in the Solway Home. Accounts amounting to £52 13s 5d (charitable aid £26 lis 6d, and Solway Home £26 Is lid) were passed fcr payment. • The treasurer reported as follows: 'Receipts— Balance from last meeting £l2l Is sd; refunded relief (pensions),* £lOl 6s 8d; trade discount, .6s 9d; total, £132 4s lOd; Expenditure: Food and clothing, £36 10s Id; rent, £6 15s; medicine, 6s; wages, £4 6s 8d; other expenditure, £2 4s; balance at date, £B2 3s Id.
