Herbert delivered a political address in the local Hall on the lltOi Ernst. There wias a good attend* ance, omd tßie candidate wm listened to ottemltively. Mr Hofmienster occupied Ibhe chair. At the close of the meeting a "hearty Vote of ttitoamkis and confidence in Mr Herbert wais carried almost unanimously. On Wednesday, *oie 13th, Mr G. Sykeis addressed a large number of electors. A report of itfe meeting hois already appeared in your columns. Mr Sykes lias pirtaniised to pay another visit .to tihe district prior to tihe ©lection. His second visit wffl (be 'looked forward to with a good deal of interest, and there is every prospect of Ms .securing a record .attendance of electors.
