A FRIENDLY FEELING.
The generous response of Mast«rton tradespeople to tlhe appeal for special prizes for the annual snow in connection with the Wairarapa P. and A. Society shows a fraternal feeling between, the two ends of the district which is worthy of placing on record. The settlers of the Lower Valley were conspicuously helpful to the Sblway slhow Jh tlhe autumn, and it is the duty of northern settlers to show their appreciation of this assistance, and to encfeavour to make the spring show at Carterton a pronounced success'. Both instWutions are imbued wMI the one ideal —the. betterment of the position of the roan upon the land. Both are. •grown to maturity, and each has come to stay. Wihiist a healthy rivalry 'is an excellent thing, a spirit of reciprocity is essential to the growth and devefopmient of both Associations.
