A PROPOSALJURNED DOWN LITHGOW MAN KILLED. (Received Last Night, 9.35 o'clock.) NEWCASTLE, Sept. 11. The Miners Federation turned down the proposal that miners should do wheeling at Wallsend. Several wheelers, who are members, attended, and voted in the negative. Wheelers have never before exercised the right to vote on a Federation matter. It is now probable that the wheelers and other miners will give notice to cease work unless the unforeseen happens soon. There will -be a few pits working. Mr Lloyd Prentice was crossing a section of the furnace area at Lithgow, when the police chased him. He became excited and run into a moving tram, and was killed.
