STOLEN STATUETTES.
(Received September 11, 9 a.m.) PARIS, Sept. 10. Hostrowisky, a well-known Russian writer, has been arrested in connection with the recent theft from the Louvre of Phoenician statuettes, which were restored through a Paris journal which Hostrowisky represented in negotiations with the police. It is believed that he is also concerned with the theft of tho famous picture, La Gioconda.
