Mr Stead says: "I am surprised if you say it was misleading. After readlngithe whole interview, I can see nothing in the sentiments expressed. "Everyone knows that not only would the question arise, but no one in the Mother Country would deny the right of self-governing dominions to haul down the flag rather than be involved in what they bight regard as an unjust war. "The, right of seocession is the foundation stone upon which the : British Empire has been reared."
