AEROPLANES IN WAR.
The British War Office is giving careful consideration to the question of offering pria&s .for aeroplanes for military use. Tbe Army , Council have been oonisiderin'g the number of Ibrained observers necessary for present war liequiremenits, and have come to the conclusion that 80 to 100 omoens, who ware also pilots, would be required. The Army Council lis in communication.' with . the various civilian schools of aviationin regard to the training and payment of 'Eielected officers, and 'it is proposed to make a grant in aid of these -expenses. Approved officers wibo obtain.' their pilots .certificates will (be classed as Army airmen., and a distinguishing mark will be placed opposite ibheir names in the Army LlSfb.
