LABOUR CONDITIONS
INCREASE IN WAGES.
DECREASE IN HOURS

LONDON, August 29
The Labour Department's report for 1910 shows that wages increased by £14,500 weekly, compared with decreases for the two proceeding years, while there was a general decrease pf working hours. The general wages level is the highest since 1893. Seventy per cent of the wage changes were effected by the Conciliation Boards and private arbitration.
