GARS ROLL OVER A BANK.
THIRTY PERSONS KILLED.
(Received Last Night. 5.5 o'clock.)
NEW YORK, August 26
A passenger train on the Lehigh Valley railroad jumped the track, ani two cars rolled over an embankment sixty feet high, into a creek. Thirty persons were killed, and sixty injured. All the occupants of the dining-car were killed instantly. Many veterans returning from the grand army encampments held at Rochester, were among the victims. The train was running fast to make up for lost time. A defective rail caused the disaster.
