NEW YORK, August 26

A passenger train on the Lehigh Valley railroad jumped the track, ani two cars rolled over an embankment sixty feet high, into a creek. Thirty persons were killed, and sixty injured. The train was running fast to make up for lost time. A defective rail caused the disaster.
