SIR WILFRID LAURIER.
/ PROBABLE RETIREMENT. (Received August 19, 8.25 a.m.) OTTAWA, August 18. Speaking at Three Rivers, Quebec, in the course of the election campaign the Canadian Premier, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, forecasted his probable early retirement. The Premier asked what political life now offered. For twenty years he had not known what rest meant. His opponents might defeat him, but they could not take away the love of those who bad worked with him, nor the prosperity that Canada had enjoyed under fifteen years of Liberal Administration. \
