WORK TO BE RESUMED. • VICTORY FOR UNIONISTS. Received This Morning, 12.30 o'clock. LONDON, August 20. The Railwaymen's Union at midnight, telegraphed to branches the following:— "Joint Committee has settled the strike. Victory for Trade Unionists! All must resume work immediately."
MOVEMENT IN BERLIN. TO PROMOTE A STRIKE. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) BERLIN, August 19. The newspaper Taglichefrundschan reports that Social Democrats are endeavouring to promote a traffic strike in Berlin.
