MASTERTON SEAT.
A largely at -tended meeting of supporters of the candidature of Mr G. R. Sykes for the MasU'rton -»p«it was held on Saturday .night, when a strong cominii/W'v' was appointed, and arrangements were made for the- vigorous prosecution of the campaign. Mr A. H. Herhen- addiv-ssed a meeting ut Hukanui on Saturday Digbt, and meets die uleetors in tho Kuripuni Mali this evening.
It is stated that one or two supporters of the Government have forwarded an urgent request to Sir Jas. Carroll to address a trusting in Mastorton in re.ply to Mr Massoy.
