TARANAKI CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association. STRATFORD, Last Night. Clifton and Okaiawa met to-day in the play-off for the Taranaki senior championship, Okaiawa winning by 8 points to 3. The first spell was played in constant rain, and the ball was very greasy, but in the second the rain ceased. Play was confined to the forwards. For Okaiawa, Lynskey scored a try, which, was, converted by MoLeodi, and Tamu dropped a goal from, a penalty.. Clifton/' s only score was a goal from, a penalty, kicked iby Goodwin.
